Beauty Product Reviews

Disappointed.

Let's start off with: this product never did much for me. I didn't really see a different wearing it under makeup. I started noticing that the product was getting thicker and thicker, which made it hard to get product from the dropper. I had to resort to taking it off the dropper with my fingers and that was unsanitary. Today, I tried to open the bottle and I promise that I barely touched it when the rubber handle of the dropper broke off. What the heck? I still have more than half of the product leftover and while affordable, I would never repurchase this product.

Excellent Product!

I had been on the market for a new toner for quite some time. I researched skin care lines and read rave reviews on Indie Lee's line. When I heard Beautylish carried it, I read the reviews, researched the products some more, and didn't hesitate to place an order. Apart from smelling fresh and delicious, this toner is quite an impressive product. It doesn't contain alcohol and is one of the most refreshing products I have ever used on my face. I apply it after cleansing my skin, saturate a cotton pad with the product, and gently apply it all over my face. Not only does it hydrate my skin, it allows my skin to absorb my serum and moisturizer a lot better, it has balanced out my skin, and I no longer have an oily T-zone. Love this!

Whoa, game changer!

This product completely exceeded my expectations. It is a balm that melts with the heat of your fingers. The first day I tried it, I found myself almost digging my finger into the product, expecting it to be like an eye cream. Actually, all you need to do is rub your finger on the balm for a little bit and then apply it on your eye area. A bit of a learning curve there for me. I wore this out in public one day as part of my daily skincare routine (without wearing makeup) and thought I looked so weird. I had to look in the mirror several times and realized that I looked different because the purple discoloration under my eyes was gone. I didn't realize how awake and fresh I looked. It made a huge difference on how my face looked. I apply this on my orbital bone, under my eyes, and under my brow bone. This product looks shiny, but not greasy, on the skin. It's the perfect base for concealer. I have to tell you, I had purchased several eye creams in the past. I can't say I ever saw a huge difference or any at all. I am only 26, but when I wear makeup, I can see fine lines as the product settles into my skin. Not with this eye balm. This is helping to reverse all of that. Thanks, Indie! This is a holy grail product for me.

The Perfect Moisturizing Oil

I recently purchased several products from Indie's skincare line. I found that her brand/products had stellar reviews, so I was definitely excited to try them out. The reviews for this oil caught my attention and I knew I had to have it. I purchased this scent in particular because of its anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory claims. I suffer from psoriasis, so my face has some redness with minor inflammation that makes my skin look textured. I cleanse my face, use toner (CoQ10 also by Indie Lee), and apply this product in pressing motions.

This product really makes my skin glow! My skin looks so healthy and radiant when applying this oil, far from oily. It is not greasy, is well absorbed, and sits beautifully on the skin. It does not make my skin cakey when I wear makeup, it actually makes my skin look like it's lit from within. So far, all of the products I have purchased from Indie's collection work great in conjunction with makeup products. No flaking, oiliness, or cakey-ness here.

Lengthening, Not Volumizing

I have to agree with some of the other reviewers here--this mascara provides length to your lashes but not a lot of volume. I have short lashes that could benefit from volume as well as length, so when I heard that IT Cosmetics was launching this mascara, I was excited to try it out. It's an OK mascara and if your lashes are medium-to-long, be prepared to look like you're wearing falsies. I tried different techniques to try to get volume from this mascara wand, but as I've already mentioned several times, it works best for length and not for volume, as advertised.

Beautiful and easy to work with!

I love these pressed pigments. While I don't think they are the most pigmented eyeshadows out there, they are definitely some of the best. I use the shade Royal for many of the purple eyeshadow looks I create and it is awesome! It is smooth (not creamy) and applies well with a brush--no need to wet your brush! The eyeshadow blends well, but if I blend too much, I need to touch it up or re-apply. The downside? It is a very small eyeshadow in comparison to other shadows out there. I compared it to one of my standard MAC eyeshadows and they appear to be the same size.

Obsessed!

I'm sorry to hear that it didn't work for reviewer Christina, but this product worked wonders for me. I'd been on the hunt for a good primer for such a long time, that I almost gave up. I came across this product and thought, "Hm, a primer serum sounds interesting. I'll give it a shot." It's very thick, but not sticky. I apply it with my fingers all over my face and let it dry for about 2-3 minutes before applying makeup over it. The bottle recommends applying it over your moisturizer or before your makeup. It definitely hydrates my skin and makes it feel silky smooth. My skin is luminous when using this product, but not overly dewy. Fine lines and smile lines? Gone. Also, I do find that my foundations go on/look a lot better when using this product. My main reason for buying it was for the anti-aging benefits, but I can tell this will be the only primer I use for a very long time. For reference: I have dry skin and an oily t-zone.

Radiant skin!

I saw Natasha reply to someone on Instagram saying that this shade is best suited for those who are MAC NC35. Her recommendation was spot-on! It is a medium shade with orange undertones (I bought it for when I'm tanned). The first day I used this foundation, I was blown away. It is thick, but not heavy. Once applied, it makes your skin glow, but it is not shimmery or shiny. There is a radiance to it that makes your skin look like it's not wearing any product. I have to tell you, this is the best glowing foundation I have ever owned. It does not emphasize my pores or texture, it just evens out the skin better than any BB cream or CC cream I have ever used. I apply this product using a flat-top brush. Natasha herself uses one of her flat-top buffing brushes to apply this foundation. I find that using this type of brush really works it into the skin. I tried to apply the product using a beautyblender, but it didn't work well. I'm not sure of the ingredients in this product, but I can honestly say it didn't mix/work well with the dampened sponge, similar to my Kevyn Aucoin Skin Enhancer. I would recommend this product to anyone, in a heartbeat. I have dry/combination skin and this product doesn't make me look oily and cakey, and it does not cling to any dry areas. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm not fond of the scent. I'm not sensitive to smell, but there is something I don't like about the scent of this foundation. I wish I could describe what it smells like. :(

I like it so far

I already owned Sensibio and was almost out, but after reading the amazing reviews for Hydrabio, I decided to purchase that as a replacement. I have really sensitive skin with psoriasis all over my face. My face doesn't flake up, but it is irritated at times with small bumps/texture. Some products tend to be harsh on my face but Hydrabio doesn't seem to affect it. It does feel a little more hydrating than Sensibio. It's not milky or creamy (obvs.) but it does feel smoother on the face than Sensibio. I can't really find a scent in this (some people said it has a slight scent) and it's fine with me if it's fragrance-free. It's pretty good at removing makeup and I'm glad it doesn't burn my eyes like Sensibio. I would repurchase this. I tend to reach for this more than my MAC wipes or Ponds wipes.

Not great, but I'll keep it anyway

I received this palette in the mail yesterday (from Beautylish, of course) and immediately started to play with it. I'm going to keep this review as short as I can. My favorite shades are: Morocco, Heirloom, Fudge, Metallic, Chic, Azure. Shades I don't like: Bellini, Spoiled, Pink Champagne, Noir. Spoiled has a lot of fall out and doesn't show too much on my light-medium skin tone. Pink Champagne is nothing like the pan refill I have by ABH, which despite having lots of fallout, is still more pigmented. Noir isn't a deep-dark black, it's an OK black which can be used to deepen other shades in the palette. Bellini didn't work for me either, it reminded me of Spoiled, but didn't leave behind the glittery mess and fall out that Spoiled did. I gave into this palette because I happen to like ABH's eyeshadows, but this palette was a disappointment to me. I'll keep it just because I feel bad returning it, but had I played with it in person, I would've passed on it right away.
