Beauty Product Reviews
Long lasting, full coverage, what more do you want?
I wore this to work and after a 12-hour shift, my skin still looked the same except for some shininess on my t-zone. Truly long wearing which surpasses all other foundations. It is also full coverage, which is important to me. I like the versatility of full coverage foundations because I can always shear it down depending on my mood. It is a thin liquid consistency like makeup atelier concealers except even better because it actually covers blemishes.
I have the TF foundation stick and bought the same color in this foundation. Perfect match. I'm very happy with this foundation.
A wonderful surprise:)
I have been buying the Lucky Bags for the last couple of years and must say I have not been disappointed yet. Although I may not use all the items, they make great gifts. All items add up to a least the price one pays so I never feel disappointed that I never got the "extra" item. This year I went with the XL bag. I recieved the Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette along with six other items. My products added up to $362!! So happy about this nice surprise. Love this yearly tradition:)
Subtle glow
This powder gives a subtle glow and blurs imperfection. It doesn't settle in wrinkles. I use the Chikuhodo Z1 brush to apply (the BEST buffing brush ever). If you want sheen though, best stick with Natasha's body glow powder.
I also bought satin glow because one of the reviewers mentioned using it to contour. It's too orange to contour although it looks nice on top of contour to blend it out. Stick with Kevyn Aucoin's contour powder in 'medium' or 'light' if you are want a contour product.
It comes in a single pan. I put it in my small aveda metal case. FYI, it is too big to fit in the new small eyeshadow Z-pallatte case.
Hate the pen/brush design
I really like this product but the pen brush design is really annoying... to the point that I don't even want to use it due to the hassle. First, be prepare to turn/click 50 times to even get the product to come out in the first place. Then be prepare to click another 5-10 times with EACH use.
Buy if you have the time, patience, and money (if you click too fast you will lose product). However if you do not have much time, you want quick and easy, this is NOT the product for you.
The product is easy to apply once the product comes out. The lilac taupe has a pinkish/purplish undertone so wish I would have just ordered the taupe instead. It is matte and drys quickly. It doesn't last thru my 12 hour workday though.
Bought two colors and won't be buying anymore until the applicator changes.
Almost perfect...
I like how this concealer neutralizes the dark circles under my eyes. It doesn't cake at all even with several layers on. The only thing is that it is not that pigmented. It's light to medium coverage. That's why I took a star off. If it could provide full coverage, this would be the holy grail of concealers.
Don't click too quick
I wanted to like this product since the reviews were so good... But this product was just too oily for my very dry skin and took way too long to absorb into the skin before makeup application (even with a tiny amount). It feels like the Eve Lom facial cleansing balm if you want a comparison. This item was my first return on beautylish.
Simply the best
I wish I would have known about theses brushes before having spent so much money on big name brand brushes like TF. This brush picks up just the right amount of powder without you having to do anything! It makes you look natural but better. I use it for everything- face powders, blushes, bronzers. FYI-This is the best brush to apply the Byterry sun designer palate!
A good value set
I wanted to try out the flat kabuki brushes so decided to buy this set because of the value. The three flat brushes are pretty impressive ( soft, functional, doesn't shed) but not the other two goat hair (white) brushes (not very soft and similar to other brands). My favorite is the contour and the square brushes. Even though I wasn't too impress with two of the brushes in this set, by buying this set, one of the brush was free :)
Nice surprise
This was my first lucky bag. The products cost more than what I paid so this was worth it. I will buy again next year. I like all the items I received but unfortunately there wasn't one item that I really loved. I recieved four items from these brands - IT cosmetic, BECCA, Kevyn Aucoin, and Charlotte Tilbury.
