GSN-14 vs GSN-15 spoolies

I love BOTH of these spooley brushes....BUT for different reasons/uses. They're almost the exact same LENGTH from top of bristle down to tip of handle--except the GSN-15 is just barely a teensy-weensy bit longer but it's hardly noticeable even when holding them side by side. Both have extremely long handles which is the norm for all GSN series. The bristle SHAPES are different, the '15' is pretty much the same thickness/width from the very top of the bristles down to the bottom of the bristles. But the '14' has more of a conical shape--think little Christmas tree--tiny at the top & wider at the bottom. As for the FEEL/TEXTURES of the bristles, the '15' is rougher, much coarser while the '14' is still firm & stiff enough to maintain control yet not nearly as rough/coarse as the '15' is. So given all the above info--I love the '14' for combing through my eyelashes after mascara application to remove clumps & ensure lashes are all going in the direction I want. The '14' feels 'SAFER' near my eyes/lashes because it's not as coarse & also b/c it's bristles are tinier at the top (conical) making it easier to get up closer to the base of the lashes. As for the '15', I love it for eyebrows--sets all the unruly ones into place plus it combs them all perfectly whenever I need to trim them. Both the '14' & '15' are great for blending eyebrow product into the brows but I still prefer the '15' for everything with my brows. See picture for bristle shapes--GSN-14 on the left, GSN-15 on the right.

PERFECT CREASE BRUSH!!!

Altho the majority of my fav brushes are Goss & Chikuhodo, I still find myself reaching for this simplistic little wonder from BillyB! And even tho it's not as luxuriously soft as Goss or Chik, it's still the softest from my entire line of BillyB's! And def soft 'enough' to where it glides comfortably back & forth along the crease--no scratchiness at all! The size & shape r an absolute perfect fit for the crease-even for smaller eyes! It applies color perfectly & makes a lovely blender as well! So glad to have 2 of these in my brush collection! Altho it doesn't look to be anything special, this little guy is def a 'must have' & I'd never want to be without it!

Chikuhodo Z's little sister!

My Chik Z-1 holds the #1 title above all in my brush collection thus far! Bristles are absolute PERFECTION in every way--density, firmness vs 'give', rounded shape, size & of course softness factor-AMAZING beyond belief! But once I'd found this perfect brush, I began hoping for a smaller version! Although Goss's brushes are far less expensive (than Chiks), I decided to give the 02 a try! Thrilled I did b/c it's just as I'd hoped--perfect size, shape & density for setting the under eyes & t-zone! Incredible softness as welI! In all honesty, I can't say it's the EXACT softness of my Chik Z but it's certainly worthy enough to be deemed it's 'little sis' with the added bonus of a cheaper price! ;) Love this brush!

multi-tasker!

So in buying & trying this 4 the LLL, I was disappointed at how scratchy it felt 2 my sensitive watery eyes. So it sat there unused 4 the longest time. But then I finally thought--let me play around w/it a bit & see what other uses I can come up with. Sure enough, I tried it on my lips 4 lipstick & also 4 concealer around the lips & was amazed with the ease & how precise of an application it gave me. It's NOTHING like any of my other lip brushes which is why I wasn't really psyched ab trying it 4 that at first, but it was awesome! It's much shorter & definitely more stiff/firm than my other lip brushes so I was surprised at how well it worked. Also found that it's AMAZING 4 under eye bags & darkness! I used my NARS concealer & this brush 2 apply it ONLY in the darkened line right under the bag & it was absolutely perfect 4 that! Also now loving it 4 spot treatment of concealer & when wanting crisp concealer lines blending above & below eyebrows. It also works great for the inner eye & inner 1/3 of the eyelid. And also works well for filling in eyebrow. All in all, this is a multi-functioning brush for anytime u need a good, dense, firm brush that will give u the precision u desire.

Great multi-purpose brush!

In looking at pics of the T-8, the bristles(brush head) appeared to have an amazing point so I was expecting it 2 b a great LLL (lower lash line) brush. However when I received it, altho it had the precise point, in using it-I found that it flared out & didn't stay true to its form when using it on the LLL. So AT FIRST I was greatly disappointed. But then, I later went back 2 play with it some more bc I knew it was made of goat hair so I tried using it in different ways. I found that it worked great for placing precise shadow in the crease. I also used it to dab concealer over spots & other small flaws & it worked perfectly for that. It also worked great for inner corner highlight & also the inner 1/3 of the eyelid as well. I even used it 2 apply a MAC paint pot & then blended it out beautifully at the crease. So all in all, I'm now glad I did purchase this brush bc its definitely a little jewel that can be used in many different ways! Back to the LLL tho, if ur wanting a brush for that, I would recommend either the Goss20 or Z-10 bc they hold their shape better 4 smoking out the lash lines. MOST PERFECT FACE BRUSH EVER!!

This grey squirrel Z-1 brush is the most perfect brush to ever grace my skin! Once I started using this brush, I immediately began selling most of my powder brushes bc NOTHING I've ever owned has even come close to the perfection of this brush! It's density & rounded head are perfect for applying powder & bronzers but it's also fantastic to use as a finishing brush! Once you've applied blush, contour & highlight, you can run this brush over it all for a perfectly blended, seamless finish! I admit that what got me interested in this brush is that I have a few dry, patchy areas on my face (while the rest of it is oily-ugh!) that become flaky easily whenever I use a brush that isn't soft enough. Most other powder brushes cause micro-exfoliation when applying my powder, but not this baby!! It's definitely a dream come true for dry flaky skin! Bc of this brush (plus a few other recent Chikuhodo brush purchases), I have become head over heels with this brand! There is NOTHING else like it! So even though it is pricey, the fact alone that it solved my flaky skin issue made it worth EVERY penny to me!! In-case someone wishes to purchase one of these high end brushes but needs some assistance, Beautylish has a payment option available (at checkout) where you can pay for it 1/3 the price over a period of 3 months until it's paid off--no interest!! So for this brush--that would be approx. $60 per month for 3 months in a row & then it's paid for! HTH! similar to Goss 06 & MAC 217...but BETTER!!

First let me say, I LOVE this brush! It's rapidly become a new fav in my arsenal of eye brushes! If u like the Goss 06 or MAC 217, the T-7 brush is similar but a much better version of both! The T-7's firmness, density & slightly shorter bristles (less flared) cause it to apply makeup with greater precision & control! It's made from the amazingly soft Saikoho goat hair (2nd only to Saibikoho goat) & feels just as soft & lovely as it's blue squirrel Goss 06 counterpart! Being goat, it can be used for both powder & creams. But what truly sets it apart from all others is that it ALONE can easily give a FULL-shadow application! It's slightly shorter bristles, density, & firmness make packing shadow on the lid a breeze, & for these same reasons-- it's also perfect for precise crease application while blending it all --from lid to brow! This is the kind of brush that will make EVERYBODY happy--whether u have tons of brushes & just want a new fav or if you prefer only ONE brush that can do it all--this one can & will! It also makes the perfect travel brush since it's a 'one & done' type of brush & also due to its short but beautifully perfect handle! See pic for comparison: MAC 217, T-7 (middle) & Goss 06. I would highly recommend this brush to everyone!!

Like a feather 4 the eyes!

I've decided 2 compare this brush w/the Goss 20 (4get MAC & NARS b/c they're no where near the same league! ) The Goss 20 def uses it's pointed end 2 do the work & it keeps the smoky look much more precise; however, the downside (esp 4 sensitive eyes) is that it can be somewhat scratchy & in order 2 use it--I MUST use very light pressure. As 4 the Chikuhodo Z-10--it is the softest most amazing brush ever for the eyes--whether u use it 4 the crease or the lash lines. It literally glides like a feather back & forth over the eye skin. Not a bit of scratchiness here & blends like a dream! The only thing that may be a downside 4 some (depends on how smoky u like ur eyes) is that it doesn't stay as close to the lash line when smoking it out (like the Goss will)--it smokes it down a bit further. However, I've come up w/a solution that I'm happy w/so I can still use my beloved Z-10 & make it a little more precise: I FIRST take a brush such as the Chikuhodo GSN-11 (or Chikuhodo PS-6 for a finer liner) 2 apply my eye shadow as liner AND THEN grab this Z-10 to smoke it out & finish off the deal! I'm a perfectionist & sometimes I throw in an extra brush in the mix if that's what it takes 2 get my look exactly what I want it 2 be! :)

Another amazing lash liner brush from Chikuhodo!!

Gotta say Chikuhodo is def winning me over!! So soft & so perfect for eye detailing. I LOVE this brush for lining my lash lines with eye shadow! Gives an amazing precise look & if u want 2 smoke it out a bit--I then grab my Chikuhodo Z-10 (after using GSN-11) to add the finishing touches! This brush is also great 4 gel liners, but I'm just more of a pencil & shadow lining type gal! Also can't believe how perfectly this brush maintains its shape!! I have other similar shaped brushes but after while, they begin 2 flare out a bit--but not this one! So glad I got it! I also LOVE the long, white handles--way more beautiful than I had imagined they would be! Just 4 size comparison--see pic: (left 2 right) Billy B 9, Billy B 7, Chikuhodo GSN-11, Goss 7

Chikuhodo PS-6 is now my all time FAV LLL Holy Grail!!

I admit I have an obsession when it comes to any type of LLL (lower lash line) brushes--pencil, smudging, push liner, etc. & have bought way more than any sane person should. ;) The closest thing in my collection 2 the PS-6 is my Goss 8--refer to pic--(which I already loved & reviewed), but after receiving the PS-6--it has taken over the position as my #1 HG & is def now my new all time FAVl!!! Both brushes r tiny which is perfect 4 getting right at the lash line (upper & lower), but the main difference is that the bristles on the PS-6 r slightly longer than the Goss which makes it perform much easier & better!! 2 me it's perfect b/c the longer bristles r firm enough 2 do the job right while still maintaining it's amazing softness factor--making it perfect all the way round! I also love that the PS-6 has a flat tip; whereas, the Goss has a dip-curve in the middle. I've used the PS-6 with gel liner, pencil, & shadow. I personally prefer 2 wear shadow & pencils (simply a personal preference) but this brush excels with all the above. I honestly can say I am DONE looking 4 a flat top brush like this b/c the PS-6 gives me the close perfect lash line I've sought after 4 so long! At first glance, this brush may look insignificant b/c of how small it is--but don't let that fool ya! Give this baby a try & u'll have the most perfect precise lash lines u ever dreamed of!!
