Moisturizing, brightening
My friend and I went to Taiwan last winter and she stocked up on this mask, telling me about how great it was. During our trip we spent a whole day outside exploring a small beach town and I got really tanned! My skin was pretty parched from the lack of sleep and excess sun, so my friend let me use one of her masks that night. When I woke up the next morning, my skin was definitely looking like it was in better condition. It does give an instant slight brightening affect and it's REALLY really moisturizing. The mask is soaked in essence, to the point where it ALMOST drips (but it doesn't :)). I have to say, it works great for tired, dehydrated skin. I don't use this that often because I have oily skin, but it's a good mask to have around if I need some moisture :)
I first got a sample of this while I was living in Japan during the winter. Tokyo gets near freezing levels during that time of year so, coming from California, my skin was a wreck!! It was super dry and peeling from the weather plus the use of topical acne gels D: Luckily I stumbled upon this and it literally saved my skin.
The texture is nice and creamy, and a little thick so it's good for covering up flaky skin. (Tip: The best way to apply BB cream is to pat it in so that you don't pull on your skin and get wrinkles, and it helps the product to sink in and look more natural.) Since it's a Korean BB cream, it only comes in 1 ghostly palekindofgrayish shade, lol, but being Asian myself, I actually don't mind the pale look xD The coverage is very good, I'd say medium-full for a BB cream. It also has verrry good staying power even though my T-zone gets oily throughout the day.
In conclusion, this is great for the winter/whenever you have dry skin that needs some good coverage, and if you're skin tone is very fair. Since I couldn't find this in the States, I'm using a Dr. Young BB cream which is almost identical in performance but with a more natural peachy shade. I would repurchase this if I ever feel like going back to having super white skin :) haha
Really works
Oily skinned girls know how difficult it is to find products that actually prevent your makeup from melting. I tried Urban Decay's Primer Potion years ago, which just made my eyelids flakey. I never even thought of trying any other eyelid primers since that one is supposed to be "the best" and I usually don't wear eye shadow anyway. But recently, my friend and I were getting ready to attend an award show and she told me to try using some of her Nars eye shadow base. I was skeptical since she has dry skin, but I decided to give it a try anyway. I was amazed that my eye shadow didn't crease AT ALL the whole night, even after going out for KBBQ! lol I ended up purchasing one for myself :) I might actually start wearing eye shadow more often because of this!
Foamy~
So far I'm on my second bottle of this. I love that it's 1) natural and doesn't make my sensitive skin burn 2) foams up a lot!! and 3) has lavender as an ingredient which my skin seems to like. I can't say it "balances out" my oily and dry spots, but it isn't overly drying. Also a little product goes a long way especially with a silicone cleansing pad! I only use about a pea size and the cleansing pad makes it super frothy. I don't think that this has transformed my skin or anything, but I don't have anything negative to say about it so far <3
Upon reading the product description and rave reviews, I thought this would be the perfect foundation for me. For some reason, this powder foundation did not work with my very oily skin! It pooled around my pores and looked gross after a couple of hours :( Coverage was ok, but not completely full. Did not repurchase!
This mascara isn't bad, but isn't my favorite. I have long lashes, but they literally point downward if I don't use an eyelash curler, so I always look for volume and curl in a mascara. You have to be careful when applying this because the formula is pretty wet and can get clumpy with a heavy hand. I like that this definitely makes my lashes stand out (good volume, length, and curl) but it's just difficult to apply! I also need to curl my lashes again after this mascara dries. If I don't, the curl doesn't last all day. Lastly, this doesn't flake or smudge a lot, which is a plus.
Gentle
My skin is pretty sensitive, but the bristles on this are really soft and gentle! I use this along with a creamy cleanser, which creates a lot of foam to help bring everything to the surface :p After that, I use a damp microfiber cloth on my damp skin and it gently lifts away all the debris! This method helped with my acne a lot, but using this pad alone and using the cloth alone didn't work to clear my skin.
Non-drying, good coverage, natural
I'll assume that this is the same product as the Perfect Skin Mineral Powder Foundation found at Sephora since the list of ingredients are the same :) So far this is my favorite powder foundation from the US.
Packaging: Along with the compact, this foundation comes with a little zippered pouch and sponge. This way you can keep the sponge sanitary and outside of the compact!
Coverage: Coverage is great and natural looking. I use this over BB cream and concealer with a powder brush just to even everything out and absorb any oil. I also use this with a tiny concealer brush to cover any spots. I have a lot of redness from post-acne marks so I'm always looking for a good coverage foundation.
Overall: I like that this powder isn't drying, has good coverage, doesn't break me out, and had good staying power on my oily skin. It's almost perfect except for the price! My favorite foundation from Japan is a lot cheaper and makes my skin look equally as good. But since they don't sell it in the US, I'll probably stick to this one until my next trip.
