Good stuff
I am very fair and neutral and on the norm CG products tend to be pretty pink in the lighter shades. This product is not. It is a perfect neutral fair beige. The color honestly looks too dark in the lot but it goes on and dries lighter. That made me happy. The wear time is good. I've been getting about 10 hours solid with primer and only touch up my nose because I am constantly wiping my nose with tissue(don't ask. It's a thing) and my chin because I tend to rest it in my hand when I work. This blends like a dream! I use my Sonia Kashuk flat powder brush and just pat it on the product. It doesn't take a lot. I buff it in with the brush and it covers really well on the first go round. It's not cakey and dries to a very natural finish. It isn't full coverage. It's medium but can be light depending on application. I am happy with this even for summer. It holds up well in heat.
This is a miss!
I bought this brush initially to apply liquid/cream foundation. That didn't work out. It's hard to get enough product on the brush to even begin applying. Beyond that it's too soft so the hairs bend and wiggle around too much to get a good even blend. So I moved on to powders. It doesn't apply blush evenly. You get a lot in one spot and you can't blend with it. Setting powder, again you get too much in one spot and it doesn't blend the product. You are supposed to use this as a highlighting brush but I doubt it would work for that. Unless you want patches of uneven highlighter.
It oxidized. Bad.
This was thick and did a decent job of moisturizing. The color was sheer and neutral. Nothing amazing about it. I liked the SPF. It oxidized though. Really badly. It only took about an hour and a half and I was pretty goofy looking. Especially since I am fair skinned, from my face to my neck, major difference. It also got oily around my tone worse that with other products.
The packaging sucks!!!
I love Sonia Kashuk products most of the time. I love their loose powders. Love them. I hate the packaging so much I won't buy them anymore. The package idea is amazing. Really good idea. Not great execution. The "locking" sifter doesn't lock. Powder still comes out freely. Every time I opened it I would have to hold really still and not shake it too much or it would pour our all over me. The lid doesn't seal the product in either. I have spilled several in my purse because it comes out of the edges a little but comes out where the hinge it A LOT!! It's a waste of money when you spill half the product and it doesn't come with a lot to begin with.
Pro: it's beautiful. Really brightens nicely and is very finely milled so it goes on super smooth. No grainy look and little powder patches. I used to wear this every day. It was my HG. That's how bad the packaging is.
Best brush ever!!!!
I use this for liquid foundation, cream foundation, powder, mineral foundation cream blush.... Everything! I have 4 of them FYI. It is the perfect firmness and it is durable. I bought my first one 4 years ago and shortly after I bought another. As I branched out in my cosmetics collection, I always went back to this brush. I can't say enough good things about it. I think everyone needs at least one in their make up bag.
This starts out so fresh and pretty, then the uglies come out!
This started out really fresh and pretty and clean looking and was a contender for my daily routine. Then after a couple of hours it had separated and sunk. I dot have a lot of places for makeup to sink into. This made its own crevices. Especially around my nose and eyes. Even with primer and setting powder. It greases me up and and and.... It's such a disappointment. In case you're noticing a lot of maybelline reviews by me, I have gone on a complete drugstore spree over the past 3 months and have tried everything they have to offer at target.
I bought his in porcelean. That is not the lightest shade they make but it is impossible to find the lightest shade in store anywhere. Porcelean looks lighter from outside the jar than when you open it but it dries lighter than when it is in the jar. The color goes on nice an neutral but 2 hairs too dark. Just enough that I couldn't pull it off. I would love to get my hands on the lightest shade. 00 light ivory I think.
This wears so pretty. It is amazing. Smooth and semi matte in that it is matte finish but it isn't overly matte. It kind of glows. Love it. It blends easier than anything I have ever seen. I use a disposable sponge and it takes me 2 minutes to cover and blend. The coverage is a solid medium which is perfect for me and it didn't oxidize.
My problem besides the color...it disappears after just a couple of hours. 3-4 hours and it's gone. Not patchy or spotty or anything. Just gone. I don't mind touch ups but who wants to do their whole face over every 3 hours. I still want the lightest color for errands and running to the store and when I don't need my face to last for as long time. But for work and my usual day, this goes back to the drawer. So sad.
Soooooo bad...
This comes out as a foam and quickly turns to water. It has. I pigmentation until it dries. I kept trying to build up the coverage and ended up putting on quite a bit because it shows up more as it dries. All said and done it looked really bad. Like crypt keeper bad. So I started over. Put the watery foam on a lot lighter this time know on e it was dry it would show. Still bad. It just dried up way too dry and made my skin shrivel up like a raisin with it. Aged me really badly. Also, the color selection isn't great and I had the lightest color and it was a little too dark and way too pink. I gave the bottle to my sister and it didn't take her long to use it up. A couple of weeks. You don't get much product for your money.
My name is Marcy, and I'm an addict....
Holy cow I love these. I have 368 & 370. Love them both. The berry colored one is more subtle glitter but the peachy one is crazy. They go on kind of jelly feeling but last for a long time and aren't sticky. I don't mind the smell or haste but I usually prefer lipgloss wih no taste. You can't beat the $5 price tag especially forge size of the gloss. It's like 3 glosses in 1. And I cracked-UP when I saw the wand. I'll let you figure that out for yourself.
Amazeballs!!
Hess blushes are so pigments you really don't need a lot. The colors are beautiful. I have all of them. I would get a sample and hate the color on the sheet but as soon as I tried it, I loved it. This was the case for almost all the colors. They are deceiving in the Pam but as soon as you put them on they are amazing. I have seen every color on me and my sisters who are both a lot more tan than I am, and they are universally pretty. Cinnamon stick is my favorite at the moment. Totally gross looking in the pan, really pretty on. Shy blush is a great dupe for NARS orgasm but I like it better because it's not glittery. It's a nice shimmer without being glittery. Bold berry is really pretty as well. It doesn't look like it would be easy to wear in the pan but it is really pretty on my fairn skin with a light hand. I was at first put off by the size of the product compared by the price but when I tried the product it is so worth it. And you don't need to use a lot so they last for a long time. Also, I know you are meant to buy the compact to go with it, but they come in a pretty sturdy package so you really don't have to. I have them all and do not use the compacts.
