Nice non-bronzer bronzer.
I usually avoid bronzers because I am pale and it is hard to look natural with bronzer. Actually I think bronzer usually looks unnatural on anyone unless they really know what they are doing. I see a lot of bronzers out there that make you look dirty or orange. This was not the case here. This is super sheer color with a really lovely light gold highlight/glow/shimmer. Less shimmer more glow. It doesn't seem like a bronzer so much but a highlighter that makes you look healthy and fresh. Very natural for a pale girl. I can look like I got some sun without actually having to get sun. I layered this over my maybelline dream mousse blush and it was like magic. Really pretty. And dirt cheap! Oh, I have the color "Tiki".
I'm on the fence with this one...
So, the color selection is amazing. I can actually wear 4 of these shades. I can do n1&2 and also w1&2. I have a hard time blending them. It's a drier formula if that makes sense. It almost feels like it is starting to dry as soon as I pour it out of the bottle. It just has that feel like you know it is going to dry really fast. And it does. Hope that makes sense. So being that it dries quickly it is hard to blend for me. Also, it looks a little flakey in areas. Like my chin and between my brows. Places where I am usually a little oilyer it leaves these little white spots. The coverage is about medium to full. I like that. I think I could mix a little moisturizer with this and still have good coverage. Make it a little less drying. I don't feel like I need powder with it. It sets well on its own and powder makes it look a little harsh. I am wearing his with revlon photoready primer. So we'll see how long it lasts. So that's where I'm at on his one. I love that it gives a perfect snow white look with my black hair, but it does have its flaws.
Greasy
This is like spreading grease all over your face with very very little coverage. The extremely light coverage didn't really bother me a lot because it is enough to give a little evenness when you want a little more than TM. It would be perfect for that. But it goes on like you're spreading warm butter on your face. I set it with matte powder and that helped. I put this on at 8:30 this morning and by 10:30 it looked so bad. It was splotchy and caked looking on my forehead between my brows and around my nose and on my chin. It oxidized and got orangey. It is not easy to blend because every time you try to blend a streak, you make new ones because it is slick.
Pro: The only pro I found was the packaging. I really like the poof and it works well with my concealer so I think on a better formula of foundation it would be really great. I love that it twists the product up and out so you can use every drop of product.
Hell yes!
I use this as a mask and absolutely see results after each use. I mostly get black heads on my nose and chin area but I like to use it all over my face. I do the mask every other day and between this and my MK microderm, my husband always tells me I have lovely skin. Lol. I think this is a must have. It really helps keep blackheads at bay. I don't have other acne, so I don't know about the rest of the claims.
Really good stuff!
I really like this. It is really good at getting my mountains of waterproof eyeliner off without having to pull on my eyes. It doesn't leave a heavy oily greasy feeling behind either and it also doesn't dry out my eye area. This is also another one I use to clean my makeup brushes with. It works pretty well in that respect too. I just took off a star because the bottle is small. I have to buy 3 at a time ant it is almost $7 a bottle so it's still not TOO pricey, but when you are a drugstore diva like myself, it adds up.
Big fat NO!
First off, the smell is awe full. So perfumey I couldn't take it. Secondly I really had to rub and rub to get any of my eyeliner and mascara off. It took off my face makeup pretty well but my eye makeup was too much for these. It says on the package that you don't have to wrinse after using these but if you don't you are left feeling greasy and smelly at first. Then it dries a little and it feels sticky and smelly and then just overly dry smelly skin. Gross! There is a makeup remover lotion in the same color packaging and it is part of the same line by neutragena and it is amazing. That's why I tried these. Thought they would go well together. Not at all.
HG
I have used this for years. I am a junkie so I like to try everything and I will buy other things and try others but I always come back to this one. It has great coverage but is creamy and hydrating. I love that it has SPF and it stays put. No touch ups needed. I will always have a tube or two of this around no matter what I am trying at the time. It works well as an eyeshadow base also. There isn't a large color selection but if they have your shade take it!!
It's ok
My mom bought this but didn't like it because she is a Mary Kay junkie so I inherited it. Its really moisturizing. I have a dry eye area and this is perfect for after I wash my face. I can't wear it during the day because my makeup slides right off. It's too moisturizing for that. My eye area looks really great and soft and smooth when I wake up. It doesn't do anything for my undereye circles though. I also don't see any improvement in the teeny tiny crows feet I have, but they are also not getting worse either so.... I won't repurchase because it's overpriced but for now I will keep using it.
I gave this a lower rating because I don't like this as an eye makeup remover. It makes my eyes feel greasy even though it's oil free. It feels heavy and just blah on my skin.
However... I love this to clean my makeup brushes. I squirt some in a cup and swish my brushes around in it for a few seconds and wrinse before I clean them with a little shampoo. It really gets a ton of makeup off so easily. Especially my foundation brushes, you know how the liquid kind really clings to brushes and is hard to get all the way off. It's no match for this stuff.
Holy cow!!
This is my go too beauty secret. Leaves my skin soft and glowing and my pores look so tiny. I use this two or three times a week and I cannot say enough good about it. Boots no7 makes a scrub that costs about $20 and it's comparable to this one, but it doesn't come with the serum for after which is just fantastic. I really dig this stuff in like I'm not supposed to but it feels so good. So the serum for after is really soothing and just ads that little something. Over the months I have been using it I have seen a lasting difference in my skin and I reccomend this to every one I know. Men and women alike.
