Beauty Product Reviews

*This is the same review I left for the Sky Face set, but it’s still pertinent information for this set!*

These are my first sets of handmade brushes (I bought the Sky Face and Sky Eye sets separately). They’re amazing and I love them. They’re all very soft, distribute product well, and generally work as they’re intended to.

The only downside is how soft the metal is on the ferrule. I accidentally dropped two brushes (on two different occasions—one flew out of my hand when I picked it up to use it, another fell when I swept them all up to put them away after washing). I was so upset when I picked up my classic cheek brush and found the edge where the ferrule and the bristles met had bent, distorting the brush shape. I figured it’s because it is denser and therefore a little heavier that the ferrule bent on impact. On the occasion where I dropped my soft shader, the same thing occurred. Ferrule was bent, the brush shape distorted. Maybe they have to use this softer ferrule because the brushes are handmade.

I swear I’m not that big of a klutz...I don’t usually drop things, and I take really good care of my expensive items. I’m a little disappointed, mostly in myself, because of course I’ve never dropped my cheap brushes..........just my super beautiful, pricey, delicate Sonia G ones. The brushes themselves are still 5-star worthy because they still perform well...but would it be possible to use a stronger metal for the ferrule?

Anyway, if there’s anything to take away from my misfortune, it’s this: don’t drop your brushes.

😭

Amazing but DELICATE
