The best alternative to lotion
I have personally never been a huge fan of letting my lotion dry. However, this is the solution for those who either don't have the time or don't like to wait. This item contains vitamin B5 that helps to replenish your skin barrier function and improves moisture retention.
Now for those who have extra dry skin (Hi there, it's me!), I would suggest layering this with your favorite lotion. Personally, my go-to combo is this serum first, then a pump or two of the Bioderma Atoderm Intensive Gel-Cream. This is also perfect for those who are recovering from sunburn as it does have a slightly cooling effect when paired with the lotion I mentioned above.
Lastly, major kudos to the fact that this product is unscented and it makes this product ideal when layering your favorite fragrance.
Worth the splurge!
This palette was one of my fit luxury splurges and I think if you're thinking about it, you should just do it! I love how finely milled and buttery every single shade is. I almost feel like I can blend all the shades with my fingers and find myself not needing brushes as much since these blend like a dream. I personally love the top row as highlight and base colors to really go for a pop of color. This palette is so versatile and the warm tones make this palette perfect for everyone from beginners to pro's a like.
I can't review one color, because all of THEM are great!
I am a huge fan of this brand for a million and one reason, but by far what becomes the biggest callout for the brand is the fact that it is formulated to complement the various shades of brown skin. I personally have a soft spot for the pastel shades as they don't need a million coats to be built up to full opacity. Now, the shimmers, oh my love, the shimmers! I think these are lovely on their own but they are even better as a top coat to a more matte color from their range. Top this off with the signature Vite Dry Fast Top Coat and you have a mani that will last you a whole week with no chips! Get all the colors, have fun, and fall back in love with doing your nails!
De-puffing and hydrating, a perfect starter eye cream!
I am a huge fan of Sunday Riley skincare as their formulas always amaze me, as they offer consistent results. I picked up this eye cream because as someone in their late twenties, I think I need to start slowly but surely introducing anti-aging products into my routine. This is where this beauty comes in! The applicator is a delicate ceramic piece that hugs the eye area perfectly. Since the tip is made out of ceramic, as you apply the cream you get a cooling refreshing feel that helps to subtly de-puff the under-eye area. I have a naturally dark undereye area so personally I did not see an improvement with the discoloration, however, my underlies feel plump, and hydrated which makes putting on makeup a breeze, and helps me face my makeup-free days confidently. I love this product and I can see this easily becoming my go-to eye cream!
Easy to use, and results that last
I love products that are easy to apply and smell fantastic so that I can extend my hair in-between washes. This IGK leave in conditioner is very reminiscent of their hair protector as it comes in a spray can. The product itself is incredibly nourishing, so if you have dry hair or over-processed hair this will help nourish and noticeably soften the feel of your hair. Moreover, if you have curly hair like me, it is the perfect first step before diffusing your hair. Personally and most importantly what I love about this specific leave-in conditioner is the scent. IGK knocks it out of the park yet again, as this transports you to a tropical escape 🥥🌴
Calming little jewel
I love all of the Jo Malone collections, and this for me is no exception, and it hits all the right notes! (No pun intended) Let’s start by breaking down the different notes that this fragrance holds. The first note is moonflower, which to me is easily broken down by two main flower notes which are jasmine and gardenia. This gives the fragrance its overall floral scent. The next note is chamomile and this is perfectly sweet, and as a tea lover, it is one of my favorite teas to steep for its calming properties. The last note is musk, which gives the fragrance a skin like scent. The delicate notes mixed with the musk give the fragrance a longer lasting staying power than a lot of their other perfumes! A must have to anyone who collects unique fragrances.
The most soothing step in my shower routine!
I love a good frothy bubble wash that makes you reminisce of a calming bubble bath, and this is no exception. This shares the same signature scent that all VERB products have (think soothing notes of oatmeal and grapefruit). At first I felt that the bottle was a bit small, however, a little goes a long long way. It took me around 2 months to finish this bottle and the combination of moringa oil and aloe make this product formula perfect for your shaving needs. This makes you feel super clean without my skin feeling stripped. I love this body wash and if you struggle with dry skin I highly recommend it.
Glass Skin in a bottle
I have dipped my toe into chemical exfoliants here and there but I rarely saw a noticeable difference. In my opinion, I feel that this product not only gives results right away but also gives the most long lasting effects after usage. I have pretty dry skiing the winter and this helped my skin remain smooth and without any flaky or dry patches. This product also help to maintain any hormonal breakouts at bay. I think that if you’re looking to slowly implement a chemical exfoliant to your routine, then this is a no brainer, as it does its job gently and subtly without over-treating your skin. Lastly, the packaging is just gorgeous, and I have to admit I gravitate to use it simply because of the mesmerizing bottle. A must have!
The BEST dry shampoo EVER
I am not a huge fan of dry shampoo as I have never been able to fully one that leaves little to NO white cast. However, the search for that ended when I picked up a can of this VERB dry shampoo. The formula dries brown and for someone with dark hair like myself gives the perfect illusion of low lights and gives my hair some dimension. The product absorbs the perfect amount of oil and leaves a clean feeling on the scalp. I saw very little to no buildup which is perfect since dry shampoo can be a bit abrasive on your scalp. Lastly, the mark of a great dry shampoo is the scent and I was able to research that the notes you’re smelling are oatmeal and grapefruit. While these may seem like an odd pair, I can confirm that the gentle scent gives notes of a soothing chamomile. This product sells outs quickly, so if you see it, grab a can!
Cooling, refreshing, and smoothing 💨💨💨
I am personally a HUGE fan of the Atoderm Intensive Balm and the Atoderm Cream from Bioderma, so I was super excited to try the new formula. This formula for me is the best development yet from their brand. As someone who struggles with eczema on and off during the harsh winter months, this was super helpful in combating my symptoms. This gel formula is not only cooling but its SKIN BARRIER THERAPY penetrates quickly for quick relief. I also enjoy that this is scent free and perfect for the whole family. Lastly, the best part about this lotion is how fast it starts working. My eczema flareups can last anywhere between 2-3 weeks, but as soon as I start using this lotion I get immediately moisture and relief. If you hate the feeling of lotion on your skin don’t hesitate to try this, I just know you’ll fall in love.
