Obsessed with this shade!
Although it looks intimidating in the package, never fear! It is an extremely wearable color. Like almost all Nars products, I'm attracted to the vibrant colors and risque names. This color caught my eye almost instantaneously. I had to try it on, and I was worried that it'd be too much for me seeing as how electric the color is but the second I put it on, it was beautiful. It stayed in place after hours of eating and drinking. At around $26, it's a bit of a splurge but trust me, it's completely worth every cent!
Skip the falsies!
Being the Benefit buff that I am, I had to try this out despite that I had another Benefit cult favorite mascara (Yay for BadGal!) I wanted to see the two side by side to see the differences. They're Real has a plastic wand which is obvious when looking at the photo. I like plastic wands the most because it creates more of a fullness with my lashes. Anyways, while BadGal creates a nice, subtle voluminous lash look, They're Real creates this sexy, night on the town look, which I love!
Great for those all nighters!
As a college student with a part-time job and a tendency to procrastinate, I'm basically a pro at pulling an all night. Of course all nighters have set backs (hello, dark circles?) so this product really helps me look awake when really, I haven't slept for hours. I use this in my inner corner and browbone as a highlight, but also under my eyes and it really makes my eyes pop. It gets me that well rested look without resting well!
I'm a sucker for neat packaging and when I saw this at Walmart, it sort of reminded me of a sun dial. All that aside, I had no clue whether they were a cream or powder, pressed or loose. When I opened it up, I did my obligatory finger test to see it's pigmentation, and boy, was I happy! It was extremely pigmented and its consistency was creamy which was perfect for me because I love cream shadows, especially as an all over the lid color. This particular shade is perfect for both day and night. I really want to try the rest of the shades!
One of my favorite foundation!
Although I have oily skin, I heard great things about this foundation. I went to the Sephora during my lunch break and bought it. I use this as my go to foundation. It leaves me skin looking great. I hope they never discontinue this product!
Don't believe the hype.
I've heard so many magazines and ads say how wonderful this mascara is. How it's the number one mascara in the country. I have no clue as to why that is because this mascara is a big MISS! Does it give my lashes any length? No, my stubby, short, little lashes stay the exact same. Does it give me volume? Nope, in fact, it actually CLUMPS my lashes so I look like a weird spider lady. I don't know if it's just me or if I'm getting the wrong information, but this mascara just does not do it for me.
Not a fan.
I actually bought this product on a whim. I was looking for the Garnier BB Cream because I wanted something light and natural without feeling super heavy. There was a lady working at the cosmetic section of my local Walgreens, and she brought it upon herself to help me out. She told me she bought the foundation and that she was currently wearing it. I kind of looked passed the fact that her makeup looked extremely heavy, and because the product implied that it would be lightweight, I bought it anyways. I went home and put it on. The application of it was messy. You have to shake it up as if it were some spray paint, and when you finally get it out, it goes everywhere! You also have to be quick when applying it because it gets runny after a few seconds. When I put it on my skin, it just felt....heavy. The coverage was alright, but I was looking for something light and natural, and this was NOT it.
A dupe for UD's 24/7 Liner
I've heard plenty of reviews on these liners, so I decided to just give in to temptation and buy one just to see if I'd actually like it. It's so blendable. The way I see it, liner looks best when blended. I got the shade Golden Olive which is exactly what the name implies. It's a beautiful olive shade with golden flecks in it.
Creamy, but stays in place.
I've been looking for a nice electric blue eyeliner for years. I had one from the Sephora brand, but unfortunately, I couldn't seem to find it anywhere. I heard about how good the UD liners were, and I decided to just swatch them while I was at Sephora, and I just had to buy it. They were extremely creamy, but it didn't slip and slide all over the place (a common problem I find with MAC kohl liners) and it was just the perfect shade. I can't wait to buy some of the other shades, I've heard nothing but good things about Bourbon and Perversion.
Seriously, I love these shadows! They have so much pigmentation, and the shimmer is not an overwhelming amount, which is a good thing for me since I'm an avid user of matte shadows. I know that in the summer, this particular shade will be absolutely perfect. It just screams fun!
