HG Primer!
The best primer I've used so far. I don't know if it's just me, but Shadow Insurance seems to go on more creamer than Primer Potion. It lasts a lot longer too. The packaging is just so cute! Yes, I am a sucker for cute packaging. I used to this for the first time a few weeks ago, and my shadow lasted so much longer, and was so much more pigmented compared to my Primer Potion.
It's okay.
I bought this because of the wide variety of colors. I'm a neutral girl. I have a bunch of browns, blacks, and grays in my makeup collection, so I decided to branch out with colors so I bought the palette. There are so really beautiful colors, but some just don't make the cut for me. As a lover of the neutrals, I was kind of disappointed with their darker colors. Nothing out of the ordinary. Yes, it is pigmented, but what's the point of pigmentation if you don't like the color? For those looking to start a make up collection but don't want to splurge on expensive eye shadows, this is definitely for you!
Perfect for those with dry hair!
After hearing only good things about this product, I decided to go to my local Ulta to check it out. I asked the girl who worked there, and she tried as best as she could to explain it to me (she was new, by the way) but the one thing that stuck in my head as she was explaining it was the fact that a little goes a long way. For someone who has really dry hair, I usually throw that piece of advice out the window but with this product it's not the case. I usually pump 1-2 drops of this product, and my hair looks shiny and sleek. For those with normai hair, I suggest just one drop as this can get a bit greasy, and for those with oily hair, (if you even want to use this product) probably half a drop.
Love this lipstick!
I have a few MAC lipsticks, and I love each and every one of them. They glide on with perfection, and the shades MAC offers is in such a wide selection that it's hard to NOT find a color suited for you. Please Me is one of my favorite. Because of my darker skin complexion, I don't wear pinks too often because they tend to look super frosty, but with this, I dab it on just a couple of times, and it gives me a perfect pink pout. Compared to other department store brands, MAC is amazing for those just starting out with makeup.
Does its job!
Before I got my Too Faced Shadow Insurance, this was my go-to primer. I used it all the time. Just a little tip I've learned since using it, it really negates redness. I used it before I plucked my eyebrows (usually, it gets really red) and I barely notices any hints of red. It does last a long time, and at the beginning, it does mattify my oily lids, but after a couple of hours, it does seem to fade out.
My hair is dry, damaged, and just plain FRIED! In the past, I never used heat protectant (big mistake!), and about two years ago, I finally wised up, and decided to buy got2b's CrazySleek protectant, and I loved it. I wanted a change, so after hearing so many positive reviews about Heat Tamers, I finally caved it. I did not like it. I didn't have the lock on it, and have of the product spilled out. I wanted to go back to my CrazySleek, but now when I compare the two products together, Heat Tamers is so much better!
Great for dry lips!
I am addicted to EOS lip balms. I have almost all of them, and they work fantastic. The only drawback for me would be the fact that they're a bit too hydrating. It almost appears as though I'm wearing gloss, and whenever I try to apply lipstick (I've only tried this with my MAC lipsticks), it just kind of slides off. Best advice to girls who don't suffer from dry lips, use sparingly. A little goes a long way.
Beautiful color.
Everyone raves on and on about Orgasm and Turkish Delight, and they should because they're both amazing shades, but my hands down favorite would have to be Supervixen. It's a subtle way to make a look plain to sexy in a matter of seconds. It's marked as a sparkly nude, but to me, it's more of bronze, so I use this more during the summer nights to for a nice tan effect. Overall, I love this shade!
