Urban Decay
Complexion Primer Potion - Pore Perfecting
Reviews
Perfect prepping product!
This is what I call the triple P! Perfect. Prepping. Product! Apply it after your moisturizing agent when prepping the skin to minimize pores and fine lines, it smoothes everything out and gives you the perfect canvas for blending in foundation and concealer!
Don't waste your time & money on this product.
So I was so excited when I bought this, and I was sadly disappointed. It DID make my skin look flawless...-until like an hour later. I have a very oily t-zone and this made it oilier and didn't make my pores small at all. Invest in a good face primer, not this.
So far so good!
Tried it for the first time today and I love it! it doesn't necessarily make my pores disappear, BUT it works a lot better than other face primers that Ive used in the past. Minimizes shine as well! Can't wait to use this more often and to use it on future clients :-)
Keeps the oil at bay!
The consistency of this is on the thick side (but not pasty) and it has a purple tint to it. Not sure if that will affect the appearance of certain skin tones but I am pretty pale so it doesn't do anything. You don't need to use very much, it spreads out nicely - but at first I was using too much, thinking I needed to since it was so thick (I am used to the powdery gel consistency of the Smashbox type). Since it is so thick it is supposed to fill your pores, etc. which it does help with a lot, though it obviously doesn't make you look airbrushed or anything. It definitely makes my skin more smooth and helps the foundation to blend onto my face better. I do love this though because it is the best that I have used as far as keeping my face from getting oily. I wear my makeup all day and into the night sometimes and usually have my T-zone become oily after a few hours but this keeps it smooth and dry and my makeup stays in place all day! That is worth it to me! (Though I don't have super oily skin to begin with FYI).
Not for me
I have a combination of oily and dry skin and this product actually made the oily parts of my face oilier and made the rest look dryer. At first it seemed like it was working but after about 10 minutes it began to irritate my skin and caused my face to breakout. I would not recommend this to people with sensitive, dry or oily skin. I did not like the texture it gave my face. It left a white residue on my face that would not rub away and it smelled funny. But that's just me.
Final Thoughts : This is not for me but you'll never know unless you try it for yourself.
Strange
- Supposed to make your pores look smaller, but I didn't see any difference.... - Strange feeling: It was like putting oil all over my face!!! - Smells strange.
Summary: It's really a strange product for me. At first I thought that something wasn't right, and then I tried another Pore perfecting primer from another brand, and I had the same strange feeling... SO If it doesn't bother you to have like a second skin when you're applying products GO FOR IT!
