Tried and True
This foundation is one of the first products I tried when I first got into MAC. This stuff is a favorite to pros and regular consumers alike. The coverage is amazing, it has an SPF but doesn't flash back in pictures like it's powdered sister (Studio Fix Powder) and a little goes a long way so it lasts.
One thing, however I did notice with Studio Fix is that I always seemed to struggle with getting my match juuuust right. It was always a bit too dark, a bit too light, the NC's were to yellow, the NW's were too pink. I'm somewhere in between an NC and an NW. But, that I think just has to do with MAC's color system and range. It's not necessarily the foundation's fault.
Would suggest, always use
I first used this foundation as a birthday present a few years ago, and I still buy new bottles today. It is such a light foundation so my skin doesn't feel weighed down at all when it is on. In fact it looks and feels very natural, my most complimented apperance is usually when I have this foundation on. The colour match is perfect 100%.
I couldn't suggest this more, yes it is expencive, but it is so worth it for me and my skin. :)
Works well
This foundation works well it's not the best but it is a pretty good foundation my shade is nc42 but I find that It makes me look a bit orangey? If that makes any sense I have noticed that when it is very hot it tends to melt off around my t-zone, therefore I have to reapply it or use some kind of powder this is my go to foundation in the winter though and I would deffenately repurchase
Love this
I normally don't like to spend the money but to me it is worth it! I am nw 20 an mind you when buying this product when purchasing Mac warm tones are pink undertones and cool tones are gold Ect. That is macs system right or wrong that's the way it is. I have never found a foundation that perfectly matched my skin tone before untill I purchased this! The coverage is great it is a very creamy consistency and the coverage is buildable even though you really won't need it! This is long wear and will last all day. For me this is worth the money. Also I am neutral undertoned so for anyone else who is neutral that May be struggling I might suggest going to a Mac counter! Well worth the money and will repurchase
I am in love with this foundation!
I have been wanting this foundation for a very long time! I have been using the Pro Longwear Foundation in NW47 as well as NW50 mixing it with the NW50 Pro Longwear Concealer. I was on MAC's website looking up what shade that I could be in the Studio Fix Fluid and matched myself with NW46. I really love this foundation very much because it gives great coverage that my oily skin needs, has SPF of 15 and it's amazing! I use my Mineralize Skinfinish Natural to set it. I use Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer to make it last all day and for those with combination oily and oily skin that wants to try as foundation that will keep your face matte all day, I do recommend trying it out!
I'm not sure why I waited so long!
I have had my eyes on this foundation for a very long time I wasn't sure why I avoided buying it to be honest I dint think ill use any other foundation! It matches perfectly, gives perfect medium to full coverage and it leaves a matte, but not flat finish if that makes sense. I love this my mom even told me that the match was perfect and made me look natural even it being medium/full coverage! I don't use the Mac powders I use the cargo hd finish powder I prefer it to the Mac powders with this foundation I feel it works better for a smoother finish. Plus if you have dry skin this foundation is something to look into it doesn't look patchy on my skin and it has an amazing lasting power make sure to use a primer!
Perfect!
This foundation is just so great because it gives so much coverage without making your face feeling like you have a bunch of foundation on. It never disappointed me and never made me breakout. I've bought this over and over again. I would have given it a 5 stars if the finish wouldn't be shiny but a little more matte. I have to use a finishing powder to really get the final look I want to; other than that I would really recommend it.
NW10 - The only MAC foundation light enough for me.
I wear NW10 in this foundation and it matches my skin perfectly. When I apply, it's almost as if I'm just perfecting my skin instead of applying makeup, which is pretty awesome because I've spent years wearing makeup that's too dark or orange. The only reason I didn't give this a full five stars is because I don't wear it every day, so I'm not certain if the foundation is the cause of my recent breakouts, or if it's my new primer or something else, like the seasonal changes and whatnot. Regardless, I highly recommend this foundation. Even though it's full coverage, it can be applied with a light hand so that it sheers out. The attached picture is from my ride to work this morning. The lighting is weird because it was raining, but you can see that the foundation looks quite natural and blends well with my skin while not covering my freckles too much.
