Beauty Product Reviews
I usually go to Fluidline for my liner but when I'm in a rush, this liner is the perfect solution. There isn't a day where I don't do a bit of the cat eye look and this liner makes my life so much easier. It lasts a long time, doesn't smudge or flake and the applicator is sheer genius (also kind of reminds me of Lineur Intense's applicator). Plus, the product lasts forever.
Great lasting power, horrendous brush
I need my eyeliner to last long, especially since I live on a tropical island. And this seems to do the trick. It lasts through allergies, tears, you name it. But the brush it utter crap. It's so darn flimsy and the product can easily get everywhere, which is a nightmare for someone with hooded lids. Another thing is that this takes forever and a day to dry. I have to sit with my chin up for at least 3-5 minutes (without blinking!) to ensure that I don't get it on my eyeshadow. And if I do, I'm totally screwed because this eyeliner DOES NOT BUDGE! My sister, on the other hand, has gorgeous non-hooded lids and swears by this. So, if you have hooded lids or monolids, steer away from this. Otherwise, if you're willing to work with the brush, then give it a go!
Edit: The aforementioned sister just gave birth--yay, I'm an auntie yet again! When I went to visit her in the hospital, her makeup was perfect! Clean, bold eyeliner and unsmudged lipstick. Lo and behold, she was using this eyeliner! So I cannot stress this enough--if you have the patience to get comfortable with the brush, then do it! It could have you greeting hospital visitors after hours of labor and an emergency c-section with a pristine face.
Soft but handle comes off easily.
I cannot express how much I love EcoTools brushes. They're soft and super affordable but I do have a gripe--a major one at that. I've gone through two of these brushes because the glue holding the brush to the handle just didn't hold up. While I was verrrry careful with how I washed these brushes, they both ended up the same way. If they found a solution to this, I'd be a lifetime customer.
Great foundation. Just make sure you have the right color.
When I first started getting into liquid foundation, I took my chances and tried this one. I loved the coverage but hated how it looked lighter on the skin than it did in the bottle, so I veered away from it for about two years. About a month ago, I decided that I couldn't spend $26 dollars on MAC foundation anymore and went searching for a drugstore foundation. Although I spent a good hour looking through the colors, I found the right one (Golden Caramel) and it was totally worth it. The coverage is perfect and it stands up to the humidity of a tropical island. By far, the best drugstore foundation I've tried.
