Beauty Product Reviews
miraculous
I have very difficult skin to cover. I have a lot of hyper-pigmentation with occasional blemishes, but also some tiny fuzz and fine lines. Yeah. I need medium/high coverage but foundations like this show the hairs and lines. Solution: Strong foundation (Estee Lauder Double Wear) applied with a damp beauty blender. Oh my gosh it actually work! HG for sure!
Everything I could ask for, almost...
I'm surprised that people don't like this, maybe they're using too much? Admittedly the texture is somewhat thick, but has never been cakey, sticky or crease-y. I love UD products but wish they would start making their products free of parabens, phthalates, etc. I use mostly UDPP or MAC paint pots and they honestly both perform similarly. I just use the UDPP when I know I want my shadows to last and last and last.
I'm a convert
Not sure why I didn't like this mascara at first. It could be because I'm one of those girls that often finds mascaras too wet for the first week. All I can say is lots of people love this mascara and I'm one of them. It provides good volume, excellent length and is buildable, though I usually don't bother. No flakies throughout the day and no smudges. I didn't give five stars because to me that means perfection, like people think I am wearing falsies.
Wow!
Park Avenue Princess looks very shimmery, but is not shiny on the skin AT ALL! I got this product with a set and felt pretty neutral about it until i tried it. I use it for contour/bronzer and it blends so easily. It is a great tone (not orange) and looks really natural. It also lasts all day (night) just like their blushes. I recently swatched the highlighter in champaign and am obsessing. I hope they make a trio like Nars did with Laguna/Orgasm/Albatross--that will be HG material for sure.
Very wet
I bought this to use as a "healthy", quick everyday product. I like all the ingredients they DON'T put in. I don't hate it but I wish it dried down more than it does. It's weird that it's so wet, as my skin is dry if anything. I also use Physicians Formula TM and find it a lot more comfortable to wear. The Tarte is fine when set with powder but to me that defeats the purpose of a tinted moisturizer. I usually end up using my (current) HG foundation Estee Lauder DW. Even though I take longer to apply it (with the Beauty Blender), I don't have to set it so I cut out a step. I love my ELDW, but I'll continue searching for a healthier option. I'll use the Tarte til it's gone, but I won't repurchase.
