Beauty Product Reviews
THE best brush set EVER created
This is by far the best brush set I've owned. I'd give it 10 stars ********** if I could. I've used it to apply liquid foundation, cream bronzer/contour, liquid blush, cream eyeshadow, and powder pastel eyeshadow. Everything applied so smoothly, and the hair is oh-so-soft!!
I had pico laser and used this set 2 days after. It didn't scratch my super tender skin at all and the tinsy wounds healed fast and beautifully.
I decided to use it with pastel eyeshadows, as Natasha Denona recently showed tutorials using denser brushes with her pastel palette. It's like combining the work of two geniuses on a beauty fool like me. Not much effort is needed for blending and packing on the light colors.
I wish Sonia could consider an eye brush set for multichrome and liquid/cream shadows. That would be phenomenal!
Beyond Amazed
I've collected 5 or 6 WG brushes before - some I purchased as a single brush, some I received in my Lucky Bag. I've enjoyed using them and decided to splurge on The Collection with the gift card event this year.
I knew how good WG brushes were, but I was so shook with the eye brushes. The photos do not do them justice. The fluffier blending brushes (3, 4 & 6) are shaped quite differently than the usual blending brushes on the market. They blend like no other! I used to think Viseart and Sugarpill eyeshadows are the only ones worthy of mention for their perfect balance of blendability and color payoffs in every color. They still are. But WG brushes make other brands of eyeshadow blend as easily to as these two. I'm thrilled!
The #5 pencil brush I had, so I knew how good and how it's unlike any pencil brushes out there (and happy to own two of them). The smaller liner brushes are just WOW - I've used luxury brand liner brushes and none of them deposit colors like these. Tight-lining with eyeshadow or gel liner without feeling the slightest scratch with these feel amazing.
The two face brushes are equally good, but I'm just overly WOWed by the eye brushes!
Gorgeous Shades! My Current Go-tos
This is definitely my favorite makeup purchase of the year so far (and I've bought quite a bit ; D).
I love the hues and how all three are matching, complimentary rose gold but not too similar. They are easy-to-wear colors individually, layers really well, but don't make your face look like blended sheen of rose gold when wearing them all together.
Texture wise, I love how the lipcreme is very light weight yet pigmented. I've purchased other Jouer liptoppers before - though I do prefer Lime Crime's diamond crusher because it's more sparkly and longer lasting - the Jouer liptoppers are a much subtler and glossy version for day wear.
The highlighter! Oh My! It blends into the skin so well as a healthy glow. You can also layer it for some extra shine on the high points. If you could only choose one item from this collection, I'd definitely pick the highlighter! It brightens my skin so well!
Will Repurchase!
I think this concealer deserves more raving than it has! The coverage is medium but buildable and very easy to blend. It DOES NOT CREASE, and I get products settling into my under eye fine lines all the time. I love the shade Ivory. It covers and evens out my red blemishes like a veil.
I would use it with a brush instead of a sponge like beauty blender though. I think sponges soak up the concealer a bit more and the coverage becomes too sheer for me.
Powerful little tool
I use this to pack my travel palettes and even create custom palettes for friends as little gifts. The magnet is very powerful and I prefer using this instead of a spatula which can sometimes chip the product in the pan when I'm not careful enough.
Good full lashes but smudges a bit
This does give my lashes the promised effect, though it requires setting. It usually smudges after lunch if I don't set it right.
I do love how it gives big lashes but in a natural way - not too clumpy. It gives both length and volume. It's a shame I can't just brush and go, though I will continue to use it when I do have the time to set.
Absolute LOVE
I love this blush! I bought raspberry/opal and not only do I love the hue, I love the sheen it has.
The product is easy to blend, yet doesn't "disappear" like some cream product would with blending - contains decent amount of pigment. I use a brush to blend for a more precise placement.
Looking forward to collect the other colors! <3
Not the best, good for travels...NEED caps
I can't say they are the best brushes, but they do the job and gets the blending done.
I do like how they keep the sizes consistent with Nudestix chubby pencils, making them easy to travel with. Although they do come with a small tin box, I think it'd be more practical to have caps on them. I would recycle caps from my other nudestix to cover these.
It's a good first try for the brand to come out with brushes. I do hope they keep it going!
Nudestix need more SETS!
I'm one of those makeup addict who is handicapped when it comes to choosing colors! I just want them all! Especially when it comes to neutrals and nudes, I need help.
The color and texture of this set is perfect - quick and easy for eyes, and can even double as face highlights & contour if needed.
I also bought the Nudestix Pencil Blenders. Although they are not the best brushes I've used, I think these two box sets are the perfect travel staples. It's easy to pick a few sticks and just stuff them in my purse for office-to-night looks or cosmetic cases for everyday looks en route.
