So this was a comparison I did today between two different primers. I wanted to test the longevity and wearability of both. So on the right eye I am wearing MAC's Prep and prime lash with covergirl lash blast length mascara. On the left eye I am wearing Maybelline's clear mascara with covergirl lash blast length on top. Verdict: Both have equal performance. More volume with the MAC primer, but it also clumps more easily.

Testing out the new genius gel foundation from Marc Jacobs. So far loving the formula and coverage. Very natural and sheer, but build able. It's texture is very unique, but I would compare it to Chanel Vitalumiere Aquq or L'Oreal Magic Liquid to Powder. Will continue to use for the rest of the week.

Hey guys so I'm really into testing new foundations lately and posting photos for you guys. Yesterday while at Walgreens I caved and decided to try the super hyped "Maybelline FIT me" foundation. I think it gives a very flawless finish and is very build-able. I was not able to get a ton of coverage with one layer, but it did even out my skin tone nicely. In my mind it is a dupe for Chanel Vitalumiere as they have similar finishes and are both water based. The Maybelline FIT is relatively thick however, and I really don't like the packaging. I think it is a product worth trying as it is pretty inexpensive.

This is day 2 of my test with the new Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundation. I decided to take a picture of the foundations wear towards the end of the day. I wore it to work in the morning and took this photo in indoor lighting at my night class. It wore extremely well and did not patch up. I also did not need to re apply powder through out the day. It controlled oil well and still maintained a flawless finish. So far I think this is an amazing product well worth the money if you plan to use it for special occasions. I find it to be a bit pricey to use as an everyday foundation, when there are many cheaper alternatives.

Update. This is day two of wearing the ever hyped up Maybelline FIT Me Foundation. As with yesterday I'm super pleased with this foundation. Today I tried applying it with a brush and didn't like the finish so I restarted with the beauty blender. The finish is amazing and the product goes on smoothly. It had a beautiful texture and it really looks like skin. I couldn't tell yesterday if it oxidized over time but I'll pay attention to it today. Overall I still think this is a perfect dupe for the popular luxury Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua for those who can't justify that price, do not have Chanel retailers near them, or are new to water based foundations and want to try one before investing in a higher end product. This is an affordable product that has a luxurious feel to it, a must in my opinion.

Today was my first time wearing a non-Asian BB cream in the Maybelline BB Cream. I have to say I was really impressed with the finish and how it applied. HOWEVER, as a "BB cream" It really is not very good. I checked the ingredients and none of them are substantially amazing for your skin and it seemed to be more of a medium coverage tinted moisturizer. BB Creams are intended to have amazing healthy skin promoting ingredients in them. I find that this product is marketed incorrectly. If you're looking for a great tinted moisturizer, this is it. If you want all the benefits of the hyped up BB Creams, go with an Asian or luxury brand.

This is fun smokey eye I did with a pop of blue color with the Wet n' Wild Color Icon Palettes from Walgreens. These things are AMAZING. It has such creamy colors which I would compare in consistency and pigmentation to Urban Decay shadows for more than half the price. These shadows blend so easily and the palettes come in a great variety of colors.

These are two eyeshadows I made using loose Shany pigments and some old Wet n Wild singles. They come off very creamy and highly pigmented. I used these in an eyeshadow look and was able to blend them out nicely. The darker of the two was the original which I had left over of and decided to make another color using a Mabelline copper toned shadow. Amazon was having this CRAZY deal of $89 for 36 glosses! Yes THIRTY-SIX...crazy right? Many of you may be thinking thats a lot, but in retrospect, thats less than or equivalent to like four MAC lipsticks, less than three YSL Lipsticks, and less than two Guerlain Lip products. This is a great deal for someone who wants a ton of colors and doesn't want to invest in other high end brands which can cost $15 - $70 for a single product. I am beginning my official makeup artist services business in my local area and having this variety affordably is awesome. Thanks NYX!

This is a rose gold face highlighter I made with old pressed foundations and loose pigments from Shany Cosmetics. This one I think I pressed too hard because the color takes a bit of rigorous rubbing to get any payoff. But in the longrun, as a highlighter, it is better to build the color than apply a drop of liquified chrome mirror on your face. Haha Irony, get it? P!nk... "Glitter"...I'm hoping. Anyway lol, this was the hardest to make and probably my least favorite. For some reason the pink loose pigments do not want to bind or be pressed. They shed like crazy and way too much product comes off even with the lightest touch. HOWEVER, the color payoff is incredible, this photo really doesn't do it justice. This was a really fun product to make. I wanted a smoother consistency so I broke a cheap drugstore pressed foundation and combined it with loose orange-toned gold pigment from Shany Cosmetics. The result is a beautiful creamy amber gold shadow that glide on smoothly and blends out gorgeously. really liked how these two came out. The blue is very matte, unlike in the photo which I love. It blends very nicely and is extremely vibrant. This is a dual-toned face highlight - one gold toned one pink toned. These are very sheer and build-able and give really natural light to the face. The pink was had a strong silver undertone so I will only use this as a brow highlight not on the cheeks. Having just gotten home from Puerto Rico, NONE of my foundations match my skin right now. So yesterday I stopped in at the Sephora in the Meat Packing District, and grabbed a darker shade of the Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Foundation. I was extremely happy and surprised that the Color IQ skin matching system there works very well and the color looked great. And as always, the foundation has a beautiful, natural and flawless finish.

Today I broke out my Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua again as I'm adjusting back to my paler winter complexion. As always it gave a flawless finish, especially with a homemade liquid illuminizer I made last night as a highlight. My lashes also looked CRAZY HUGE today with the Dior Lash Plumping Serum as a base and of course my Covergirl Lashblast Length mascara.

Haven't done a lip look in a while and wanted to a darker toned matte look. I could not for the life of me find my NARS lip liner which is an intense dark brown color, so I substituted with a Milani brown eyeliner, it clearly didn't work as well and was a bit patchy, but I liked the effect.

This is a black smoky eye topped with a bronze cream shadow. This look took quite a while as there was a lot of blending involved to achieve it. A tip: Putting a dark color down before a shimmery color will change it's finish. This cream shadow on its own is very orange, but on top of the black it looks very golden.
