Saikoho goat bristles are dyed with kakishibu (persimmon tannin dye). Dating back to the 13th century, this dying technique is regarded as a precious traditional craft and has received national awards.

Inspired by Sonia’s summers in Japan, the handles showcase a maki-e design of a koi fish swimming against the current, towards a lotus flower, with the beautiful blue gradient effect representing the water.

The eye brush set comes with a special vertical paulownia box—complete with an elastic ribbon and tassel—to keep the brushes safe or serve as a lightweight brush holder.

The Flat Pencil
A pencil brush with a slightly pinched ferrule offers a thinner and thicker side for precision and versatility. Use it to define the lash line, smudge a pencil, create and extend a wing, place shadow, intensify the outer v, or apply highlighter in the inner corner.

The Small Builder
A laydown-type brush with a pinched ferrule that’s narrow yet thick to easily navigate the lash line. Use it to place and build shadow on the mobile lid or outer v, or use its tip to define the lash line.
