Beauty Product Reviews

Underrated!

This foundation is AMAZING! If you have pale skin like me, you'll know that drugstore isn't really in our favour, so after searching around online, I found this, and I'm so glad I bought it. It is just the right colour, covers nicely and lasts! I did a full review on my blog: http://colourbymakeup.blogspot.co.u...

Perfect!

I love this mascara! I have quite thin, wispy lashes so I've always had a problem with clumping and overdoing mascara. Skyscraper has about a billion bristles, so it never ever clumps and it separates and defines my lashes so beautifully. You don't get a huge amount of product, but that's what makes it so different and why I love it. With this mascara you can finish off a subtle makeup look or pretty doll eyes! Because of how subtle it is, it's also really good for the bottom lashes too. I really recommend this product for anyone with lashes like mine, straight, short and thin!

I'll never stop buying this!

About a year ago, I used to have terrible oily skin and so many blackheads. I'd tried lots and lots of drugstore scrubs, washes and masks, but none of them worked. I found a lot of them stripped my skin, casuing more breakouts. I'd never tried anything from the Lush skincare range, but being a loyal Lush fan, I thought I'd give it a go. I made a thick paste and it went on my skin so easily, and unlike some scrubs, it didnt scratch my face. It's a little tough to wash off because of all the charcoal, but that didn't bother me too much. The results were amazing, my skin looked and felt so clean and my blackheads were almost invisible! My skin was so smooth, and my skin didn't feel oily at all that day. I used it 2-3 times a week, but I've found that it's helped clear up my oily skin for good, so now I only need to use it twice a week. It's a big tub that's lasted me a long time, and I'll definitely keep buying this!

The best moisturiser I've ever used!

This product is AMAZING. In the winter I had really dry legs that itched a lot, and I tried so many different lotions, and Palmer's cocoa butter is the only thing that worked! My skin is fairly normal/combination, and recently I've started using cocoa butter on my face, and it has to be the best moisturiser I've ever used! Usually after a few hours, my skin starts to look blotchy and oily, but not with cocoa butter. I only need to dab a penny sized blob on my whole face, and my skin looks and feels amazing! Its not too heavy or greasy, my skin feels so soft and smells gorgeous too, and I've also noticed it's really cleared up my blackheads too, which I didn't expect it to do, and for the price - wow. I can't find a single fault for this product, I'll never stop using this!

Favourite mascara! :)

I've had this mascara for about a month now, and I love it! You get 2 wands: One for length, and one for volume. the idea is that you have 2 different types of mascara in one tube, the lengthening tube has a little stopper to get extra product off, which I thought was really clever. It also means I've got a choice of how I want my mascara to look. In the photo, my eyelashes are curled and both the length + volume wands were applied. I'd like to point out that my eyelashes are quite short, thin, and pretty much non-existent when I don't curl them and apply mascara! The volume wand doesn't really have a stopper, but surprisingly, neither of the wands are clumpy at all. My lashes look really long and defined, unlike most mascaras this cheap (£5.99), it looks like I have millions of thick, long, black eyelashes, instead of 4 fat clumps! My only complaint would be that the volume wand can sometimes be a little messy because of all the product on it, but you just have to be a little careful. I am really impressed with this mascara. especially for the price. This is definitely a favourite!

Can be a little tricky

I bought the crackle polish when the craze started, as I'm not so good at nail art, I thought it would be great. The idea is that you paint just one coat of the polish on and it dries to a crackle. The crackle does last, and looks great, but you have to get it right, otherwise you end up with huge chunky blobs. The brush is really skinny, which makes it hard to paint just one coat as sometimes you can go over what you just painted by accident. The polish also dries, in my opinion, far too quickly, which means you could end up painting on more than one coat, resulting in blobs instead of crackle. However, you do get the hang of it after a few tries, but that doesn't mean you'll get it perfect every time. I would recommend this product to beginners, as its fairly cheap so you can keep trying with it.

Favourite palette!

I was so happy when I got this palette for Christmas, the packaging and the lights were so pretty! Unfortunately, a few days later the lights broke :( I love how you get more than just eyeshadows, I love the eye pencils (I also did a review on these) and the primer, as it can be quite expensive. The colours are so pretty, Urban Decay is my favourite brand for eyeshadows as they have so many amazing, unique colours. Some of my favourite colours in the palette are Loaded, Kush, Rockstar, Haight and Psychedelic Sister. All of the eyeshadows are really pigmented and last all day on top of the primer potion. I like that the palette has a mix of natural and bright colours, because brights aren't for everybody, but in my opinion, I'd prefer a lot more brights. Also, some of the colours (like Midnight Cowboy Rides Again) have A LOT of glitter fallout, which is annoying because it's so hard to get off. Fortunately this isn't the case with all the eyeshadows, this is the palette I use nearly everyday because of the wide range of colours, this has to be my favourite palette! :)

Best shampoo I've ever used!

I don't know where to start with this, first of all, I LOVE the smell (big blue is my favourite bath ballistic), it smells just like the seaside because of the seaweed and sea salt. These ingredients also make your hair soft and shiny, and my hair never, ever shined, so this product really stood out for me. The texture is a little weird for some people because it's 50% sea salt, but it feels nice when you massage it into your scalp. The price puts some people off, but it's worth the money and it lasts a lot longer than you'd expect it to, because even the tiniest bit goes a really long way. Recently, I've been trying to grow my short hair and found this shampoo has helped a lot. My hair looks and feels so much healthier and seems to be growing a lot faster. I couldn't find a single fault with it, I don't think I'll ever buy a different shampoo!

I love it, and my boyfriend does too!

This was one of the first Lush products I bought, and I still love it just as much. It's a honey/toffee smell, and it smells good enough to eat! (although I wouldn't do that!) I also read online that the honeycomb on top is good for exfoliating, though I haven't tried using it for that. Honey I Washed The Kids is one Lush product I keep coming back to, as I've found that the rest of my family, and my boyfriend, have been stealing the soap every time they go to the bathroom!

Something I've wanted for a long time!

I'd always wanted a highlighter because my face can sometimes look a bit dull/ashy. A lot of people recommended Benefit to me and I wasn't disappointed. It suits my pale skin and it isn't glittery, like most highlighters, which makes it quite discreet. Sometimes it can be a bit streaky, but it isn't hard to blend at all. Overall I would definitely say get this product, because now my face doesn't look right without it!
