can't live without it
If this helps you understand how much my CHI means to me, then I'll share it with you!
There was one time I got back from a vacation and thought I left my CHI in my hotel room.... I INSTANTLY freaked out and almost started hyperventilating! I just hadn't realized I already unpacked it.... Teehee.
Seriously, though, this is the BEST flat iron I have ever come across. I have naturally curly hair... Think tight, tendril, tia & tamera hair! Needless to say it is very hard to straighten. My CHI gets it bone straight, makes waves, and even curls!
Be sure to use a heat protectant as his specific model does not have a temperature setting. Also, if you have very thin hair you may want to invest in one with those capabilities.
I give two quick tugs at the root, drag the flat iron down my piece of hair, and bam, it's straight! I was given this as a graduation present from high school.... In 2004!!!!!! Lol and I STILL have it! Worth every penny!
A little goes a long way
This serum is great for people with frizzy hair, but be careful to use a VERY small amount for your whole head. I use less than a dime size amount.... rub it inbetween my hands... put it through my ends.... and use whatever's leftover on my flyaways! You won't be able to see it on your hands... but trust me, its there!!!
Using too much of this product will give you greasy, stringy hair! No one wants that! Also, it may be expensive, but I've had mine for a year and a half... that's how potent the formula is! Money well spent, imo....
I decided to give this a try after sticking to my Covergirl Lash Blast for the past few years... I have to say... It's was just... alright! It doesn't make me feel like I have on false lashes, for sure. I do like the buildable formulation and it definitely gives them more volume and separation.... but nothing I would write home about! It's not lengthening enough, for me! I do LOVE the wand, it's different! Maybe if they put that wand with a different formulation it would be the ideal drugstore mascara!
It's Shellac... It's Gel Nails... NO It's SECHE VITE!!!
lol.. corny tag line, forgive me.... but every time I wear this top coat people ask me if I have gel nails or if it's shellac! I absolutely LOVE the thick, glossy consistency of this top coat! This makes your nails very shiny & really protects them, imo. I haven't noticed it chipping any sooner than normal, but I get bored with my nails every few days and repaint anyway!
If you like glossy, shiny, gorgeous nails... you NEED this top coat!
Technique is key!
This is a great product..... if you use it the right way!
I think the key to dry shampoos is to use it, mostly at the root, but don't overdo the spraying because it will make your hair too thick and unmanageable! Be sure to shake the bottle REALLY well because you want the almost powdery substance to hit your hair, not the liquid. Don't spray close to your head... keep it 10-12 inches from where you're intending to spray... You don't want a powder head! lol
It dries up the grease and provides me with excellent lift! I have naturally curly hair, so if I can avoid straightening my hair a couple days then I'll do whatever it takes!
Also, giving a few sprays, then brushing it through (with a vent brush) will help you better gauge how much product you need to get the intended effect on the hair! I used to use Rockaholic, but with Tresemme's price tag... I've switched over for good!
MUST HAVE FLAT IRON
This is the only flat iron that works for my naturally curly hair. I have tendrils, and they are very difficult to straighten, but this flat iron makes all things possible. Temperature settings are a must as all people can't handle the same temperature on their hair. I crank this bad boy up, squeeze it twice at my roots, then pull it straight down with a comb under it to make sure I am getting every strand! Works like a charm!
Dried up my oil.... TOO MUCH! lol
This was a match made in heaven the first month I used it.... It took away the oil in my T-Zone and even cleared up my acne..... until...
This dried my skin out really bad and left my under eye area peeling badly. Maybe the skin on my face is too sensitive, but this cleanser did not work for me.
LOVE THESE BRUSHES
I bought these after hearing all the hype on YouTube and being in love with the colors of the Make Me Crazy Kit. For $99 I was blown away by all of the brushes that came in this set and the quality they have! No, they are not MAC brushes, but they are definitely nipping at MAC's heels.... especially with that price point.
There are a mixture of synthetic and natural brushes, and they all transfer product very well. My favorites are the stippling, powder brush, and the E55 (normal shader). The only brush I'm not so crazy about is the insanely humongous blending brush! They have smaller blending brushes in their lineup and probably should have went with those for this collection!
I am a Sigma affiliate, but I have not provided any link or anything crazy to make money off of people buying it. I genuinely wanted to express how much I'm in LOVE with this set and just keep it real! It friggin ROCKS!
Good, but overpriced
I used to SWEAR by this cleanser, but the more I started buying bottles of it, the more I started feeling like I was overpaying for a not-so-sufficient product! I have a lot of white bristle brushes, and this cleaner does not get them clean. I have since found other cheaper products, but if you don't mind paying a little extra, this is still great.
Powdery hot mess
Blah.. I hated this! This is supposed to balance your complexion, but all it did was make me look like a vampire. None of the colors have any pigment so they just look like white, chalky, powder. If I was a lighter skintone the only thing I could see myself doing with this is using it as a setting powder.
I love other e.l.f. products, but this was a total miss for me! :-(
