Okay, so I never contour but I really like the way looks so I think I might start doing it not for everyday but for nice occasions and shopping trips and stuff, however what do you use to contour, is it like a dark translucent power or something? thank you!:-)

Any neutral matte powder a couple of shades darker than your skin tone works well. I use Mac's blush in Harmony or Anastasia contour powder in Fawn (part of her palette). NYX has matte bronzers that work suprisingly well for contouring and don't look muddy (like many other bronzers when used for contouring). My favorite contouring brush is my real techniques contouring brush (: hope this helps.

For contouring you're supposed to use a grey toned matte powder to create a shadow. Bronzers tend to be warmer toned so tend to do the opposite. You're trying to create shadow and depth as opposed to highlighting. I recently purchased the Inglot sculpting powders I'll attach a photo below to give you a better idea :)

Great suggestions ladies. As for the homemade contouring that I must say is a bust and here's why something similar was in a makeup show years back because one of the challenges was to use any home items to make a look happen and the fail of it all was every single person disliked it because it was so bad when applied then the models eyes were tearing up due to the cinnamon and nutmeg and other powdered items.Plus is started to burn their skin as well.
